Hailing from Mobile, Alabama, Breonna July had a passion for tech at a young age and an interest in tinkering. Recognizing that technologies was an
ever-evolving industry, Breonna rose to the occasion and graduated from Spelman College with a B.S. in Computer Science and served as an intern at Dell
Headquarters in Round Rock, Texas. Her current role as an engineer at Microsoft sparked her additional passion for paying it forward and aims to create
the bridge between tech and university recruitment.
At just the age of 25 years old, Breonna has served as a 2016 & 2017 UNCF HBCU Innovation Summit Fellow, a 2017 HBCU SXSW Scholar, a 2017 Forbes
Under 30: Tech Scholar, and a 2018 Google Black History Month Scholar. Moreover, Breonna has relayed the message to first generation college students
about the tools they need to be successful on a panel for Michelle Obama's Reach Higher initiative. Breonna has been featured in Blavity, Forbes,
and her own alma mater's newsletter for her major impact in the tech industry. Since graduating from Spelman, Breonna serves on the Program Advisory Board
for Claflin University's Computer Science Program, Co-Lead of the For(bes) the Culture: Dallas Chapter, and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
An optimistic forward thinker and someone who dares to dream big, Breonna July collaborates her talents, passions and purpose to stand before young Black students and youth who aspire to pursue technology and innovation.
